ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court on Thursday issued red warrants of former Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States Hussain Haqqani in Memogate Scandal. A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and comprises of Justice Umar Atta Bandial and Justice Ejazul Hassan heard the suo motu case. During the proceedings, the apex court issued red warrants of former Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States Hussain Haqqani. Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General said that a letter was written to the Interpol for the arrest of the former ambassador. In the previous hearing, the top court had rejected the review petition filed by former Pakistan’s Ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani. The petitioner was of the view that Hussain Haqqani had assured the court of returning to the country, however, now he was denying. The bench expressed surprise that why has this case not been listed for the last four years. “I will ask SC why did the office not put up file for the fixation of case” he observed.
