Mercury to cross 40°C as heatwave enters third day in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – The Karachi heatwave will continue on Thursday as temperature recorded 33°C and mercury likely to cross 40°C again. Met officials said that the intensity of the heat was felt more than the actual temperature due to the reduction in the wind speed blowing from the sea. Medical experts urged the people to take yogurt, milk and soft drinks in Sehri and Iftari.They asked the people to cover their heads. Medical experts have advised the people to follow the precautionary measures, asking them not to come out of their houses unnecessarily. Meanwhile, the Sindh government has imposed an emergency in all hospitals across the province, keeping in view the heatwave and a thunderstorm alert issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
