Miftah Ismail resigns as finance minister

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has resigned from his post while Ishaq Dar has been nominated in his place.

An important party meeting was held in London under the chairmanship of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. In the meeting, the overall political and national situation of the country was discussed. Miftah Ismail submitted his resignation to Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

Miftah Ismail said that he worked with his full capacity in 4 months. He was loyal to the party and the country. Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif appreciated the efforts of Miftah Ismail for carrying out the responsibilities under the most difficult conditions.

Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif nominated Senator Ishaq Dar as the Finance Minister. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar, Maryam Aurangzeb, Miftah Ismail, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan and Ahad Cheema attended the meeting.
