Miftah says prepared budget after extensive deliberations

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said that they have prepared the budget after extensive deliberations. Addressing the post-budget press conference along with Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Revenue Haroon Akhtar Khan on Saturday, he said that tax will be levied on the deliveries over Rs 10 million. He said that the tax rate had increased on non-filers. “The gift scheme has been restricted to only relatives,” he added. The minister said that expenditures of any department will not increase after the budget. Haroon Akhtar Khan said that the Federal Board of Revenue’s visionary policies were meant to facilitate the taxpayers. “The FBR revenue had nearly doubled under the present government.”
