Military leadership to brief parliamentary committees on Afghanistan situation today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – In view of the changing situation in Afghanistan and its possible impact on Pakistan, the Pak Army leadership will take lawmakers into confidence on the country's internal security as well as the Afghan situation.

The committee members will also meet Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Members of the Senate and National Assembly defense committees will visit the GHQ to brief the members.

The Senate Defense Committee will be headed by Mushahid Hussain Syed, while the National Assembly Defense Committee will be headed by Amjad Ali Khan.

The briefing was requested by the defense committees.

Sources said that the committee members will also meet Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa while Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Babar Iftikhar will also attend the briefing. Members of Defense Committees and Parliamentary Kashmir will pay homage to the martyrs, lay floral  wreaths and offer Fateha.
