Ministry of communications ranks first in federal cabinet as per its performance

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Ministry of communications has ranked first in federal cabinet on the basis of its performance.

According to a report, Prime Minister House has issued a repor of top 10 ministries which have shown the best performance. Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar stands second and Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation to Prime Minister Sania Nishtar got the third position.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed, Minister for Industries Khusro Bakhtiyar, Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood, Adviser for Commerce and Investment to Prime Minister Abdul Razak Dawood and Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari received appreciation certificates.

Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry and Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin could not make space in Top 10.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister stressed that improved performance of ministries is very critical to achieve the country's self-sufficient target.

He said the government is fully focusing on ensuring good governance and the main objective is to improve the lives of the people.

The Prime Minister said performance assessment is very imperative to bring improvement in the bureaucracy. He said incentives will be increased for best performing ministries in future.

Imran Khan called for exploring non-traditional ways to meet economic challenges.

Earlier Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Establishment Mohammad Shehzad Arbab briefed the Prime Minister about the evaluation and assessment process of performance of ministries.
