September 3, 2020
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Information Shibli Faraz has said that minorities are continuously being targeted in India. Addressing a seminar titled 'India, Epicentre of Islamophobia' in India on Thursday, he said that it is the Modi government's ideology to push the minorities to the wall. "The Modi government is damaging the Muslims socially and politically," he said. Shibli Faraz said that Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) had been under the lockdown for the last one year. "The extra-judicial killings of Kashmiris are going on in the Occupied Valley," he said. He said that Muslims in India had been at high risk since the ascending to power of the BJP led by RSS trained PM Narendra Modi. "The slogan of ‘Shining India’ was scarred with incidents of mob lynching of Dalit ‘untouchable’ caste, beating up of Muslims on account of cow meat, failure of police to protect minorities and deprivation of Muslims of their birth citizenship," he maintained.
