ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PTI MNAs spoke out against the inclusion of unelected people in the cabinet during a meeting of the parliamentary party on Wednesday. They said that the decision to include parachutists in the cabinet is not appropriate. “There is no role of public representatives in the government policies,” they said. The MNAs added that it was unacceptable for them to impose unelected persons. “It will yield good results if elected members are given the opportunity,” they maintained. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the MNAs reservations are justified, but strict decisions had to be taken to rectify the economy. “The change of Asad Umar was a strict decision. He is my right hand even today,” he declared. “I take responsibility of my decisions.” He said that the captain is the person who knows where to play the player. The prime minister also took the members into confidence over the new local bodies system. To a question whether opposition or to run the government is easy, he said that it was easy to run the government. However, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Ch, former ministers Asad Umar and Amir Kayani did not attend the meeting. The PM expressed his displeasure at late arrival of some ministers. The prime minister directed the members to visit their constituencies immediately soon after the meeting and implement the Ramazan package along with the district administration.
