Mobile phone service to remain suspended in Punjab today

LAHORE (92 News) – Mobile phone service will remain suspended today (Youm-e-Ashur) along the routes of the processions in Punjab. According to an order issued by federal government, mobile phone service will remain suspended in areas of Punjab from 12:30pm to 7:30pm. The service will also remain suspended in Hangu, Orakzai and Khyber Agency. Stringent security arrangements have been made for the processions. Police and Rangers have been deployed while pillion riding has also been banned in various cities, inluding  Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta.
