Moderate 5.2 magnitude earthquake jolts parts of KP

PESHAWAR (92 News) – A moderate 5.2-magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar and Islamabad on Wednesday.

The tremors were felt in northwest areas of the country, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Peshawar, Dir Bala, Malakand, Swat and in the areas located at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The epicenter of the earthquake was determined at Afghanistan's Hindu Kush Mountain range with a focal depth of 309km.

The tremors created panic among people who rushed out of their houses to open places. No loss of life or property was reported from the affected areas.
