CHINIOT (92 News) – As many as 80 villages on Sunday have been flooded as moderate level flood in Chenab hit several areas of Chiniot.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Ravi, Chenab and Indus all have varying levels of floods passing through them right now. The irrigation department has issued flood warnings.
According to the reports, the Chenab River in Chiniot currently has a moderate flood passing through with high level of water.
Meanwhile, low level flood in Indus river in Ghotki submerged 40 villages and caused an alarming situation. The rescue officials have launched an operation in the area.
The crops were destroyed due to the collapsing of Chenab bridge in Ahmadpur Sharqia, while flood also lashes Shigar area of Skardu and damaged many areas. The roads were also blocked in many places there. The victims have been shifted to safe places for their survival however, no relief camp has been installed for their medical assistance so far.
