Modi govt tries to snatch identity from Kashmiris: Firdous

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Wednesday that Indian government led by Narendra Modi tried to snatch the identity of Kashmiri people after revoking 370 Article. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leadership has taken out a rally on the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan to express solidarity with the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir. Addressing the Independence Day rally at Islamabad’s “D Chowk”, the special assistant said that India cannot suppress the passion of Kashmiris for their birth right of freedom. “Prime Minister Imran Khan in his address to AJK Legislative Assembly, has given a message to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that Pakistan will never compromise on its principled stance on Kashmir issue,” he mentioned. Firdous Ashiq Awan reiterated that Pakistani people stood with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters against India’s vicious ambitions. She also clarified Kashmir is in the heart of every Pakistani and Pakistan will take every possible step for Kashmiris. Addressing a rally, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has urged the international human rights organizations to play their due role and pressure India to stop brutalities against innocent Kashmiri people. He said the Modi government is attempting to satisfy its sordid design to change the demography of the Occupied Kashmir. He said the people of occupied Kashmir are facing severe shortage of essential commodities due to curfew. The minister said the entire Pakistani nation stands united for the Kashmir cause and will continue to raise the voice of Kashmiri people till realization of their just right to self-determination. Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed, speaking on the occasion, said Pakistan will continue to extend political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri people. Addressing the rally Member of the National Assembly Asad Umar said India cannot succeed to suppress the voice of freedom of the Kashmiri people despite its brutalities in occupied Kashmir. Expressing his views, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ali Amin Khan Gandapur urged the entire world to support the Kashmiri people for the cause of humanity. Kashmir Committee Chairman Syed Fakhar Imam said Kashmir is jugular vein of Pakistan. The Independence Day rally started from Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi and culminated at Islamabad’s "D Chowk" where the party leadership delivered speeches. PTI’s top leadership including federal and provincial ministers, members of national and provincial assemblies, and party workers participated in the rally to give a strong message to India and the international community that the Pakistani nation was united and would not leave the people of Occupied Kashmir alone in this difficult time. Federal Minister Murad Ali Saeed, Muhammad Ali Khan and Asad Umar were also present in the rally. They all expressed solidarity with Kashmiri people from Indian held Jammu Kashmir. Earlier today, Prime Minister Imran Khan has termed the recent illegal moves in Indian-held Jammu Kashmir (IHK) as ‘strategic blunder’, saying that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi played his last card and it will cost him a heavy price. On the occasion of Independence Day, addressing the special session of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, the prime minister expressed solidarity with Kashmiri brethren during the ongoing crisis. “Pakistan Army is ready and will deal Indian aggression with strong hand and Modi played his last card and it will cost him a heavy price, and he will be paid back in his own coin.” Since his childhood, Narendra Modi has been a member of Hindu nationalist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) which adopted its ideology of racial supremacy from Hitler’s Nazi party, PM Khan said. “If we grasp their [BJP] ideology then various issues, including Kashmir, will be understood.” The prime minister stressed that the conservative ideology of RSS was the reason behind Pakistan’s creation and owing to the very ideology, Mahatama Gandhi was murdered. “The RSS ideology was promulgated into India and gave rise to atrocities in occupied Kashmir,” he added.
