LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Tuesday said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi misusued his power and robbed the Kashmiris’ rights by abolishing Article 370. The Punjab chief minister assured that the right to self-determination of the Kashmiris cannot be snatched by this illegal move of the Indian government. “The decision by Modi government is a breach of human rights and sheer madness which will only escalate tension. India always deprived the people of occupied Kashmir of their democratic rights,” he said. “Modi government will have to be held accountable of its atrocities against the helpless Kashmiris. The international community must wake up and take notice of the Indian step,” he urged. Meanwhile, Sohail Anwar Siyal termed that all nation always adopted one stance on Kashmir as ‘Kashmir Bany Ga Pakistan’ (Kashmir will make part of Pakistan). On the other hand, Speaking to the journalists, Sindh former information minister and Pakistan Peoples’ Party PPP leader Sharjeel Memon said that all Pakistan is united on the issue of Kashmir, adding, “We will not let Kashmiri brother alone in tough situation.” A day earlier, the Indian government rushed through a presidential decree to scrap a special status for Indian-held Jammu Kashmir, hours after imposing a major security clampdown in the region. Amit Shah has announced to abrogate Articles 370 and 35A from its constitution, which gives special status and rights to the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The announcement was made by Indian Home Minister Amit Shah while addressing in Rajya Sabha, upper house of Indian parliament. Amit Shah also announced that Jammu and Kashmir would be re-organized geographically. Amit Shah also announced that Jammu and Kashmir now a union territory with legislature,and it is no more a State. He also announced that Ladakh will also be union territory without legislature. He said that President of India had issued a notification in this regard. The opposition denied to accept the decision of government and harshly reacted on the bill.
