Money-laundering case: Ayyan Ali's bail plea hearing adjourned till June 29

LAHORE (92 News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday adjourned the hearing a bail plea filed by supermodel Ayyan Ali in the money laundering case registered against her till June 29. As per reports, the accused's counsel stated before Justice Abdul Sami that his client was merely a victim of political rivalry. "She was not carrying any foreign currency on her," he stated before the court. "The investigation of the case has also been not  yet completed despite several occasions of giving more time to the authorities. This calls for the plea to be accepted." In response, the government lawyer requested the court to grant him some time to submit reply. The court accepted the request and adjourned the hearing till June 29.
