ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has ordered the federal cabinet to review the issue of placing 172 people on the exit control list. Hearing the mega laundering case, the CJP remarked that the act of placing the names of 172 people on the ECL is against the personal liberties. He questioned the JIT head how the content of the report was leaked. He said that the JIT had exceeded its mandate. “The Sindh chief minister is an elected leader and we should respect him. It is surprising that how the name of the province’s chief executive can be placed on the ECL. “We will neither speak in arrogance nor let anyone do injustice,” the CJP remarked. Chief Justice Saqib Nisar remarked that each step will be taken as per constitution. “We will not allow anyone to derail democracy,” he said. The attorney general told court that the media is giving the impression of governor’s rule. The CJP said that the governor’s rule will not be imposed in this way. Chief Justice Saqib Nisar also stopped the opposition and the media from comments on the fake accounts case. He also directed the PEMRA to submit a report after reviewing the programs of a private TV. Justice Ejazul Hassan remarked that the letter was the opinion of the JIT and the FIA. He said that placing the name of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on the ECL is a blot. Earlier, the CJP expressed his anger over placing 172 people on the exit control list (ECL) and ordered State Minister on Interior Shehryar Afridi to appear in court with the record within 15 minutes.
