ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has submitted an affidavit in response to the allegations of money laundering levelled by PML-N leader Khawaja Asif.

The prime minister participated in the proceedings of the Islamabad sessions court through the video link.

In the affidavit, the prime minister has termed the allegations as unfounded and insulting.

He stated that an attempt was made to harm the credibility of Shaukat Khanum Trust through the national media on the basis of such unfounded allegations.

In addition, Shaukat Khanum Trust has received investment schemes without any loss about which these baseless allegations were levelled.

It has also been stated in the affidavit that Imran Khan had been biggest individual donor of Shaukat Khanum from 1991 to 2009.

It should be kept in mind that Shaukat Khanum's investment schemes were decided by a decision-making expert committee and there was no intervention of the prime minister in this regard.
