Failure to disclose funds’ sources: ECP issues notice to Imran Khan

LAHORE (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday issued a notice to Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan for not informing the ECP about the sources of the funds collected from the US. Akbar S Babar, in a petition, contended that Imran Khan had collected US$2m from America and the PTI did not inform the ECP about the funds’ sources. He alleged that the PTI had also violated the Political Parties Order 2002. The ECP has asked Imran Khan to appear in person or reply through his counsel on February 23.
