ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he himself is monitoring the Corona Relief Fund and the entire amount will be audited. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a web portal on Saturday, he said that the relief amount will be given to the deserving people in a fair manner. “The government will contribute Rs4 for each rupee donated to the relief fund. Our aim is to reach out to the maximum number of people during these testing times.” Giving details of the web portal, Imran Khan said those who have lost jobs due to lockdown can get themselves registered on the ehsaaslabour.nadra.gov.pk to get the assistance of Rs 12,000. He said that the government has also endeavoured to put minimum burden on the masses during the coronavirus pandemic. “We have substantially reduced the prices of petroleum products which are currently the lowest in the subcontinent. I have directed the provincial chief secretaries to ensure that the benefit of this decline in petroleum prices is also reflected in the prices of essential commodities,” he added. “I know that some people will not be able to register their name on the website. I will ask the Tiger Force to register the deserving and unemployed people on the website,” he said. The prime minister said that the government is trying to give maximum benefits to the construction sector to create more and more jobs. “We cannot keep the people in the lockdown for long. The world is trying to start the business and even rich countries are starting businesses,” he said. He said that patients testing positive for coronavirus should be quarantined at home. “People should go to the industry while wearing masks and perform their duty,” he added. PM Imran Khan said that no one would be given the money on the basis of politics in any program launched by the government.
