Monitoring unit to be set up for implementation on ADP of Rs560bn in Punjab: CM

LAHORE (92 News) - Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar said that a monitoring unit will be set up to monitor the implementation on Annual Development Program (ADP) of Rs560 billion in the province.

In a statement on Sunday, the chief minister assured that strict monitoring of development projects will be done to ensure transparency and timely utilization of funds. He also said the concerned departments have been given a deadline of July 31 to get the approval of unapproved schemes and to take prompt measures in this regard.

He said timely and transparent utilization of the funds of the Annual Development Program will be ensured at all costs. He further mentioned that an effective mechanism will be set up for third party audit of development schemes.

Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar said on Friday that unfortunately, the negative attitude of the most failed opposition has not changed.

In a statement, CM Buzdar said that the future of the entire opposition is bleak as the entire opposition had put all its efforts in opposing the government from day one. He said with the support of people for the government, opposition had to face failure at every step.

"The world has changed, but unfortunately the negative attitude of the failed opposition has not changed. The future of Pakistan depends on a transparent and honest leadership like that of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan."

Usman Buzdar said that opposition had lost its credibility by doing the politics of blaming. He said the future of opposition was dark and the people have rejected them forever. He further maintained that there was no future of corrupt elements in Pakistan’s politics and New Pakistan was inevitable.
