More data retrieved from cell phones of PSX attackers

KARACHI (92 News) – After a forensic examination of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) attackers who stormed the bourse building, more data has been retrieved from their cell phones. According to the sources, the retrieved data revealed that the terrorists were in touch with a specific cell phone number before the attack. “The number was used in various parts of District Central,” they added. The sources said they have found evidence of the attackers having contacts in Karachi. Earlier, the security forces foiled the terror bid as four terrorists who attacked at Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) had been killed. According to reports, panic and fear gripped Karachi’s II Chundrigar after four suspected terrorists tried to storm into the PSX building but all terrorists have been killed immediately by the security personnel. According to police, at least 10 people were killed and several others injured. Those killed included the four attackers while four security officials among sub-inspector and one citizen were martyred. Upon being informed of the attack, police and Rangers personnel reached the site in no time and cordoned off the area. The security personnel vacated and entered the building. According to reports, the attackers came in a car and opened fire on the building’s entrance. They also tossed a grenade and entered the building. All four terrorists were killed at the main entrance gate of the PSX building. The surrounding areas have been sealed by police and Rangers personnel while the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. A spokesperson of Pakistan Rangers Sindh said the situation at Pakistan Stock Exchange is under control, while search and clearance operation is underway. Four bags have been seized from the terrorists which included four SMGs, hand grenades, weapons, water bottles.
