LAHORE (92 News) – Most of areas across the country including Lahore will be reopened today (Tuesday) after completion of Corona smart Lockdown period. It is pertinent to mention here that the Punjab government had sealed entry and exit points of around 40 areas in Lahore after surge in the coronavirus cases in these localities. According to the details garnered, the selective or smart lockdown that was imposed in coronavirus worst-hit areas of Lahore and other parts of country for two weeks will be ended tonight. The final decision regarding extending the lockdown or permanently lifting it will be taken by the Punjab Cabinet. Meanwhile, 14 sealed area of Sargodha and four areas of Peshawar have also been opened after completion of two weeks today. On the other hand, the permission to open the shopping centers and shops in Balochistan has been given after completion of smart lockdown. On June 17, the authorities also imposed a two-week smart lockdown in the areas worst affected by coronavoirus in the city. The affected areas including Malir, Korangi, Landhi, Mominabad, Qayyumabad, Nasir Colony, Millat Town, Kharadar, Sadr, Layari, Defence, Soldier Bazar, Safoora Goth and Urdu Colony have been sealed. The use of masks has been made mandatory. A ban has been imposed on the movement of the people in these areas. Meanwhile, several hotspot areas have been sealed in Lahore, Gujranwala, Kasur and Faisalabad. In Rawalpindi, 22 hotspot areas have been sealed in Rawalpindi and Cantonment areas. The other areas include Sadiqabad, Iqbal Town, Dhok Piracha, Dhok Kashmirian, Dhok Kala Khan, Qayyumabad, Karri Road and Dhairi Hassanabad. In Lahore, several more areas have been sealed in Aziz Bhatti Zone. Six areas have been sealed in Gujranwala. In Faisalabad, all eight bazars of Ghanta Ghar have been sealed. All residential areas adjacent to bazars have also been sealed. In Peshawar, nine more areas have been sealed for two weeks.
