LAHORE (92 News) – Investigation agencies on Friday traced a motorcycle-rickshaw carrying the alleged suicide bomber to Data Darbar. Through the help of footages, the officials raided a hotel in Garhi Shahu and arrested four suspects who had set a tea stall in there. Key disclosures are expected during the interrogation. The alleged suicide bomber had boarded the motorcycle-rickshaw from Railway Station. Moreover, stringent security arrangements had been made in the city during the Friday prayers. Devotees visiting the Data Darbar shrine are of the view that cowardly activities cannot reduce their faith.
Toll of martyrs in Data Darbar suicide blast rises to 12
The death toll in the Data Darbar suicide blast increased to 12 on Friday. According to the details, another boy, who was injured in suicide blast near Data Darbar, died and the toll of martyrs rises to 12. The martyred was resident of Lohari Gate, identified as Mudassir 19-years-old. He was under treatment at Mayo Hospital. On the other hand, the identification of allegedly suicide bomber was become a great trouble. The blast took place to the opposite side of the suicide bomber, however, the footage of safe city cameras created conflict in the matter. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar inquired the health of injured persons in Mayo Hospital. The attacker is said to be 16 and was wearing ‘shalwar’ and ‘kameez’. His body parts have been sent to the forensic agency. The funeral prayers for the four martyred policemen were offered in Police Lines. Later, they were buried in their ancestral areas with state honours. On the other hand, the bodies of three people of a family who were martyred in the blast have been shifted to Basti Jhandaywali, Multan. On Wednesday, 10 people, including four policemen, were martyred while 25 others injured in the suicide attack on a police van outside Data Darbar. The martyred policemen included Muhammad Sohail, Shahid Nazir and Muhammad Saleem. Muhammad Sadam Hussain, Gulzar Ali, Muhammad Ijazul Haq and Muhammad Kamran are among the injured police officers.
