) – Funeral prayer of Aftab Ahmad was offered on Tuesday at Numaish Chowrangi; MQM announced
one day of mourning on Wednesday in view of his death.
Aftab Ahmad was the coordinator of Muttahida Qaumi Movement's leader Dr Farooq Sattar. He left behind five children and a widow. His funeral was attended by Dr Farooq Sattar along with a large number of workers of MQM and the members of the Rabita committee.
Aftab died because of a heart attack while he was in the captivity of the Rangers. Dr Farooq Sattar demanded transparent inquiry into the death of Aftab Ahmad.
In a statement, the Rangers spokesman said that Aftab Ahmed complained of cardiac pain today’s morning after which he was taken to hospital, where he breathed his last.
