Altaf Hussain said that he will rather die than bow his head in front of tyrants. He said that he promised to give his life for the protection of the rights of not only Muhajirs but also of every oppressed people throughout the country and would not compromise on their interests. “I am going to fulfill his promise.” The MQM chief said that Coordination Committee will look after all the party matters after his death, adding that the committee will decide whether to continue the movement or not. The MQM London secretariat has started preparations at the secretariat after the announcement. Meanwhile, British law allows people to go on hunger strike but does not allow anyone to go hunger strike till death. If anyone wants to go on hunger strike in Britain, he would have to get permission from the Social Welfare Department. If someone wanted to go on hunger strike at home, then do not have to get permission but if someone wanted to go on hunger strike in front of any important building, place or outside of the house, then he would have to get prior permission.
