MQM chief ordered murder of KESC former MD Shahid Hamid: accused Minhaj Qazi

KARACHI (92 News) – Minhaj Qazi, the main accused and Nine Zero former security in-charge, has said that the MQM chief had ordered the murder of KESC former managing director Shahid Hamid. In his confessional statement in the court of Judicial Magistrate South, he admitted that he was assigned the duty of the MQM Altaf Group unit in-charge from the APMSO and later it was made part of the MQM militant wing. He said that Saulat Mirza used to monitor the affairs of the militant wing. The accused disclosed that Nadeem Nusrat conveyed Altaf Hussain’s message of the murder Shahid Hamid from London. He said that KESC employee and MQM Labour Division member Sohail Zaidi provided details about the address and other details about Shahid Hamid. Minhaj Qazi said that the weapons were sent to Gazri by car of Saulat Mirza, while Arshad Akhtar and Athar accompanied Saulat Mirza. Meanwhile, the court has made his confessional statement part of the record.
