KARACHI (92 News) – Saleem Shahzad, former senior leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), has announced to form a new political party. Talking to the media outside City Court on Saturday, he said that he would hold a public meeting in Organi Town on December 16. He said that he would not allow any target-killer or China-cutter to join his party. Saleem said that he will also field candidates in various constituencies in the city. “My party will comprise of educated people,” he claimed. He was arrested on his arrival at Karachi airport on February 6. He was later released from prison on June 2. The MQM former leader, who had been living in London since 1992, was wanted by the Karachi police in various cases against him.
