KARACHI (92 News) – As the Law enforcement agencies continue crackdown against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) following an inflammatory speech by the London-based party chief Altaf Hussain, party’s offices in different areas of the metropolis were padlocked. The MQM’s offices in Karachi’s North Karachi, North Nazimabad, Federal-B Area and Shadman Town were sealed. The paramilitary force raided the party’s sector and unit office following an inflammatory speech by the London-based party chief on Monday. The law enforcers pasted a note outside the MQM’s offices warning the people of opening the offices without permission. Previously, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain, who lives in self-imposed exile in London, had in a telephone address issued anti-Pakistan statements and criticised the local media for failing to report on his workers' recent hunger strikes. He also instructed supporters to attack the offices of three media houses for not showing his image and broadcasting his speeches. MQM leader Farooq Sattar had renounced Altaf Hussain, saying his party is the party of Pakistan and it should be run from Pakistan. He said that each party worker condemned the statement of the MQM chief, adding that he wanted to utter the same word, but was not allowed to do so. Sindh Rangers on Monday night initiated action against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) for allegedly inciting violence in the metropolis. The paramilitary forces raided party headquarters Nine Zero took senior party leaders into custody and sealed MQM offices there. Operation against MQM was initiated following the attack on media houses and person in the Saddar area of Karachi. Violent workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had attacked offices of two private TV channels.
