MQM-P decides to contest Senate polls in alliance with PTI govt

KARACHI (92 News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-) on Sunday decided to contest the upcoming Senate polls in alliance with the PTI government.

According to the details garnered, MQM-P decided to remain an ally of the PTI government in the Senate polls. The decision to support the PTI government in the Senate election was taken during the MQM-P Rabita Committee’s second meeting which concluded on late Sunday night.

The MQM-P also turned down the offer of PPP's two seats but agreed to liaise with Sindh government at local level.

It was decided in the Rabita Committee to continue contacts with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) at Sindh level in the future.

It is pertinent to mention here that the PPP had sought support from MQM for Yousuf Raza Gilani s seat.
