ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan has expressed hope that Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) is and will remain the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s ally. In a statement, after the resignation of MQM-P convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui from the federal cabinet, the special assistant said that MQM-P will remain the PTI’s ally. “The party’s demand that the people of Karachi be given basic rights is a reasonable demand and reflects a vision Prime Minister Khan and a commitment the PTI has made to the people of the metropolis,” she added. Firodus explained that a delegation of the government led by Planning Minister Asad Umar will hold a meeting with MQM-P leaders tomorrow to address their reservations. She also said Prime Minister Imran Khan will not disappoint the people of Karachi, stressing the port city should be given its due rights. She maintained the federal government will do justice to the mandate Karachi’s denizens had given to it. Pakistan’s sincere efforts for resolving conflicts in region Earlier, in her series of tweet, Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that visit of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to Iran and Saudi Arabia is an evidence of Pakistan's sincere efforts in resolving conflicts and reducing tension peacefully. She said it is an honor for Pakistan to play a vibrant role in the interest of the Muslim Ummah and peace in the region which is being acknowledged by Islamic countries and the Western world.  She said this is a bright role of Naya Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and is changing Pakistan's global identity.
