KARACHI (92 News) – MQM-P leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has accused the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) of destroying Sindh province. Talking to the media, he said that had the PPP not descended like punishment Karachi would have been a developed city of South Asia. “The Sindh government has ignored the urban population in the budget,” he maintained. He claimed that Karachi had made progress only during the tenure of the MQM. “The PPP has divided the Sindh province through his acts. The country has been in the grip of terrorism for the last two decades. The urban areas in Sindh have been the victims of economic terrorism for the last decade,” the MQM-P leader said. Siddiqui said that the Karachi city contributes 95% revenue, but only 10 percent is returned to it. He said that his party rejects the budget. Muhammad Hussain said that Sindh and Karachi gave the tax of over Rs5,000 billion in 11 years, but the Sindh government did not spend more than Rs100 billion on Karachi and Hyderabad in five years.
