MQM-P to support PTI candidate for leader of opposition in Senate

KARACHI (92 News) – The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM-P) Bahadurabad faction on Thursday announced to support Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate for leader of opposition in Senate Azam Swati. Talking to media along with PTI leaders, MQM-P leader Faisal Sabazwari said that their party will not vote for PPP candidate for opposition leader in Senate Sherry Rehman. “PTI delegation came to us, seeking support for their candidate in the contest for the Senate’s opposition leader. So we have decided to support the PTI’s candidate,” he said. Earlier, PPP on Wednesday had nominated party leader Sherry Rehman as leader of the opposition in Senate. On the other hand Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated party leader Azam Swati as leader of the opposition in Senate.
