June 13, 2015
KARACHI (92 News) – The Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) rejected the Sindh budget 2015, terming it anti-poor. The MQM has announced a strike against the budget on Sunday. The MQM’s Rabita Committee has also appealed traders, industrialists and transporters to support the strike. A spokesman for the MQM said that the MQM would raise voice against the budget at every platform. Meanwhile, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has condemned the strike call, saying strikes do not resolve any issue. Chaudhry Nisar said that Pakistan’s progress is linked to peace in Karachi. “Assemblies are the best place to resolve any issue,” he claimed. On the other hand, Karachi Transport Ittehad said they had not decided to observe the strike.
