KARACHI (92 News) – PTI chairman Imran Khan said that he welcomes MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s statement for reducing tension. Talking to the media before leaving for Islamabad on Thursday, he said that the time has come that the MQM should distance itself from weapon-wielding people. He said: “No one should be in misunderstanding that we will retract.” Addressing the PTI rally taken out in connection with the electioneering for NA-246 by-poll, he said that the MQM chief practices dual policy as he sends invitation on the one side while shows clubs on the other side. He thanked his wife Reham Khan for participating in the rally. The PTI chief said that they will make Karachi the city of lights. He also met with MQM leader Farooq Sattar and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. However, he refused to visit the Nine Zero. Imran Khan and his wife Reham Khan were accorded a warm welcome at Yadgar-e-Shuhda, Jinnah Ground. He said that the MQM chief had helped create a peaceful atmosphere in Karachi. "Let there be no doubt, the days of living in fear have gone in Karachi," he added. reham
