MQM worker Waqas Shah's killer remanded in police custody

KARACHI (92 News) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday sent the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker Waqas Shah's suspected murderer Asif Ali on 14-day physical remand. As per details, the suspect was presented before the court amid tight security by Azizabad police who requested for the remand to conduct interrogation. The court remarked that the interrogation will reveal whether the suspect is actually involved in the murder or not. "The suspect can’t be acquitted at the behest of lawyers," the judge said. "The whole country witnessed Waqas Shah's killing on TV." The court remanded the suspect in police custody for 14 days.
