MULTAN (92 News) – The police have decided to investigate Mufti Abdul Qavi in the Qandeel Baloch murder case. Talking to the media on Monday, Multan CPO Azhar Akram said that decision had been made to include Mufti Abdul Qavi in the investigation after the forensic report. He added that all people who were in contact with Qandeel Baloch would be interrogated. He said that Qandeel’s mother had not given a statement about Mufti Abdul Qavi in the murder of her daughter. “Her mother will also be interrogated in the case,” he added. The Multan CPO said that they were investigating all aspects of the case. He said that two teams had been formed for the case. “We yet have no evidence whether Mufti Abdul Qavi has direct and indirect connection with the case,” he said, adding that the police were authorized to investigate any person linked to the case. Sources in the police revealed that they had written a letter to a government department in Karachi for getting an access to Qandeel’s brother Aslam Shaheen. They said that her father had nominated Aslam Shaheen in the FIR. The sources said that the police had decided to car out the polygraphic and DNA tests of the arrested accused Waseem. “These tests will be helpful in the investigation of the case,” he said. They added that forensic laboratory report will be received within 15 days.
