Mufti Muneebur Rehman demands expulsion of French ambassador

KARACHI (92 News) – Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman on Wednesday demanded expulsion of the French ambassador over the issue of blasphemous caricatures.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, he said that it was not government's job to pass condemnation resolutions. "The government should take practical steps, publish the list of French products and appeal to the people to boycott them," he demanded.

He said that the matter should be raised at the international level. "The government should play its role if the Organization of Islamic Countries (IOC) is dead," he added.

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairman appealed to the masses to boycott the French products. He also demanded that the Pakistan ambassador to France should be called back.

In a tweet, Mufti Taqi Usmani said that the worshippers of wealth would get a lesson when the Islamic world would boycott their products.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Ideological Council (IIC) has also supported to boycott the French products.
