Muhammad Baleeghur Rehman appointed as Punjab governor

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - President Dr Arif Alvi has appointed Muhammad Baleeghur Rehman as governor of Punjab.

He has been appointed the summary sent by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.The President gave the approval on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in terms of Article 48(1) read with Article 101(1) and Article 101(5) of the Constitution.

The newly-appointed Governor Baleeghur Rehman will take the oath of his office at 2pm on Tuesday. Lahore High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti will administer him the oath.

Baleeghur Rehman served as Federal Minister for Education during the last tenure of the PML-N.
