KABUL (92 News) – The Taliban on Tuesday formed a new government in Afghanistan, declaring Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada as Ameer-ul-Momineen who will guide and patronize the government.

Announcing the new government, Taliban Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said that Mullah Muhammad Ahsan Akhund will be the interim prime minister in Afghanistan, while Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar will be his deputy.

He said that Mullah Muhammad Yaqoob will be the defence minister, while the portfolio of the interior minister has been assigned to Mullah Sirajudddin Haqqani.

He said that Mullah Hadaytullah will be the minister for environment, while Mullah Khairullah will be the information minister. "Mullah Ameer Khan Mutaqi will be the foreign minister. Molvi Abdul Hakeem will be the head of the Afghan judiciary. Hadaytullah Badari has been given the portfolio of the finance minister, while Haji Isa will be the petroleum minister," he announced.

The Taliban spokesman said that efforts will be made to establish peace under the new government. He said that blood was shed from both sides in Panjshir. "Taliban have offered their blood for peace in Afghanistan. Now peace has been established in Panjshir," he declared.

Zabihullah Mujahid said that Pakistan is their neighbour country and the Afghan will not be used against Pakistan at any cost. "Pakistan served the Afghan refugees and supported the people of Afghanistan. Elements causing damage to Pakistan will be eliminated," he said.
