Murad Ali Shah calls on Bilawal Bhutto, discusses JIT report & ECL issue

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah called on Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and discussed the joint investigation team (JIT) report and placing names of the party leaders in the exit control list (ECL). According to the sources, they exchanged views on expected forward bloc in the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) during the meeting. The Sindh chief minister also briefed the PPP chairman about performance of the party’s government in the province. Murad Ali Shah said that his government provided subsidy to all sugar mills according to the law. He said subsidy was given to all sugar mills and not few chosen mills. He said after approval of Sindh Assembly, subsidy given to sugar mills in the province. The chief minister said that he is being subjected to media trial with levelling allegations against him. Murad Shah said targeting Sindh government the PPP being subjected to media trial. On the other side, the PPP ‘Jiyalas’ reached outside the Bilawal House and raised slogans in favour of their party leadership. It is pertinent to mention here that after the JIT report, the opposition and the government came into battlefield. Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry demanded Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to step down in light of the damning report of the Joint Investigation Team in the fake bank accounts case. The minister said Murad Ali Shah has been named in the JIT and hence, he should resign. “We won’t raise any objection if the PPP elects someone else chief minister of the province,” he added.
