ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed fired back Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s criticism on Prime Minister Imran Khan and PTI-led government in National Assembly. Calling out Bilawal, Murad Saeed said that how can someone who was handed his political career in his mother’s will, call the prime minister ‘selected’. “PPP were giving aid to government officials through BISP. They did nothing for the people of the country living below the poverty line,” he added. “They are taking us to task about a shortage of wheat in the country when they have already done a plea bargain with NAB after millions of tonnes of wheat went missing from their warehouses. They have no shame,” the minister maintained. Murad Saeed said that the opposition ran away from the house without listening complete answers of their questions. “The dogs are prevailing in the area of Zardari’s son, we will catch them, he mentioned. “If Junior Zardari is such an honorable, so why not arrest his mother’s killers,” he raised question to Bilawal. “I have same relationship with my leader which a Jiyalas have with Zardari and Rana Sanaullah has with Maryam Mawaz,” he said. He said the government is working on reforms agenda aiming to make all the institutions profitable including Pakistan International Airline. He said that 2019 was the year of economic stability and the effect of economic initiatives would start reaching the public. Initiating the debate, PML-N leader Khawaja Asif said the nation is confronting the crucial issue of inflation which must be addressed on emergency basis. He said the beneficiaries of wheat and sugar crises should be held accountable. The House will now meet again tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11 in the morning. Earlier, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has said that they don’t want Prime Minister Imran Khan commit suicide but he should go home after accepting his mistake on Tuesday. Addressing the National Assembly, Bilawal alleged that since the beginning of PTI’s tenure, there has been an increase of Rs25 billion per day in loans. He also said that PM Imran Khan should acknowledge that he is ‘incompetent, incapable and selected’. While taking aim at the government, Bilawal said that Imran Khan used to say that inflation increases when the prime minister is corrupt. “Now the prime minister should tell about his corruption due to which inflation has risen to such an extent,” the PPP chairman highlighted. “The premier used to say they he will not take a loan, and would rather commit suicide. In the past 15 months, the government has taken loans worth Rs11,000 billion. We do not want Imran Khan to commit suicide, but we demand that he accepts that he is wrong,” Bilawal said. The PPP chairman said that when the PTI began to rule there was inflation already, but now the economy seems to be sinking. He mentioned that since the PTI came into power, every sector has been facing troubles. “Give relief to people or go home,” said the PPP chairman. “When you have a government that has been ‘selected’, then there is no regard for the people’s suffering. They bow down in front of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and make deals at the expenses of the people’s economic rights,” he maintained. Bilawal terms PM as ‘Chota Admi’ [little man] Criticizing the Prime minister, Bilawal Bhutto termed PM as ‘Chota Admi’ [little man]. After stating this word, the treasury benches recorded strong protest and sloganeering against the PPP chairman. Following to this, NA Speaker Asad Qaiser directed Bilawal Bhutto to avoid using these statements and should respect the seat of the prime minister. Bilawal replied, “You are the speaker of NA, don’t defend the premier. The postal minister will explain the dignity of the prime minister. The group of Sindh’s orphan is ally party of the government.”
