Murder of 20 people: Fake faith healer, 4 accomplices remanded for two days

SARGODHA (92 News) – The district and sessions judge remanded the fake faith healer and his four accomplices, who are involved in the killing of 20 people, in the custody of the police for two days.

The Factory Area police will investigate the accused who will be presented in an anti-terrorism court on April 5.

Earlier, the police registered a case against Abdul Waheed and his four accomplices for killing 20 people.

The FIR has been registered on the compliant of police under sections 302, 353, 354 and 156 of the Pakistan Penal Code and 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

The main accused Abdul Waheed, custodian of the shrine, has already confessed to the killing of 20 people.

In his confessional statement, Abdul Waheed said that he had killed all the people on suspicion.

“I doubted that devotees will poison me to death. I clubbed all the people to death in rage one by one. My ‘Murshid’ had told me that an attempt was made to poison me,” he said.

Abdul Waheed’s wife and five children are also under arrest.

The custodian and his accomplices had intoxicated and murdered 20 devotees and injuring four others with batons and knives. Four women were among those killed in the attack at the shrine to Mohammad Ali Gujjar.
