Muslims in Kargil take to streets, face Indian army's barbarity

KARGIL (92 News) - Muslim community in Kargil took to streets on Friday to protest against the separation of Laddakh from Kashmir. Indian troops turned violent and manhandled the protesters, arresting several of them. The situation remained tense in the occupied valley on the fifth consecutive day for Kashmiris who faced acute shortage of food and daily used items because of multiple restrictions and curfew. Indian security forces took over 600 political and social leaders and workers during operations.

World shows solidarity with oppressed Kashmiris

People from all parts of the world continued showing solidarity with Kashmiris in Indian held territory on Friday. Kashmir people supported by Pakistani and Sikh community staged a demonstration in New York to protest India's atrocities on Kashmiri people. In Bangladesh, thousands of people joined street protests after Friday prayer and demanded right of franchise for Kashmiris. In UK, Muslims staged protests in London, Birmingham and Luton, raised slogans against India and demanded placing Peace Keeping Mission in IoK.
