NA-122 by-elections: JI announces to support PTI

LAHORE (92 News) – The Jamaat-e-Islami has on Sunday announced to support Pakistan Terheek-e-Insaf candidate Abdul Aleem Khan in NA-122 by elections. A delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf headed by the former Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar called on Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore chief Mian Maqsood in Mansoora on Sunday. Mian Shafqat Mahmood, Umer Sarfraz Cheema, Abdul Aleem Khan, Mian Mahmoodur Rashid were also present during the meeting. They had detailed discussion regarding NA-122 by-elections. The JI leader Mian Maqsood also informed the PTI leaders of their party’s concerns. The PTI leader Chaudhry Sarwar said that the JI will support PTI candidate in NA-122 by-polls, while the decision regarding support in local government elections will be taken by the central leadership in the evening later.
