NA-125: Saad Rafique moves Supreme Court against tribunal decision

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique challenged election tribunal’s NA-125 verdict of re-election in the constituency in Supreme Court on Thursday. Earlier, the Election Commission of Pakistan denotified Saad Rafique's National Assembly membership as the election tribunal declared the NA-125 polls as null and void. The petition moved through Khawaja Haris stated that the PTI had not proved the rigging allegations, but the tribunal had annulled the election on the basis of anomalies. "The tribunal has not mentioned that how many anomalies were committed and what was its effect on the results." The petition also stated that the tribunal has held no one responsible for the anomalies, praying that the tribunal verdict should be declared null and void.
