NA-246: Jamaat-e-Islami to show off political might today

KARACHI (92 News) – The Jamaat-e-Islami will display its political strength on Sunday (today) two weeks before the upcoming NA-246 by-poll.
A senior-level meeting between the KPK-allies Jamaat-e-Islami and the PTI is expected to discuss a possible coalition against the MQM: the previous winner from the constituency.
Tensions are on the rise as the by-election draws near its set date, with major political parties standing against each other in the constituency. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Jamaa-e-Islami are the main contenders of the National Assembly seat that fell vacant after Nabeel Gabol – the sitting MNA - parted ways with the MQM.
