ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Assembly approved the Electoral Reforms Bill 2017 amid uproar by the opposition on Monday. Law Minister Zahid Hamid presented the bill, which was approved. The opposition members stood on their seats, tore the copies of the bill and besieged the speaker’s dais in protest. Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah said that the parliament is the solution to each problem, but the government always goes out of it. PTI vice-chairman said that the amendment is in clash with the Constitution. He demanded the deletion of the section 203. “We will move court if the bill was approved with a majority,” he added. On the other hand, the House rejected the JI’s proposed amendment to the bill. At this, Sahibzada Tariqullah of the JI tore the copy of the amended bill. The bill will be sent to President Mamnoon Hussain for approval and after his approval, it will become an act. Thus the way for Nawaz Sharif to become the party president will be paved.
