NA passes resolution condemning Indian claim of IHK

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Assembly on Tuesday (today) passed a unanimous resolution condemning the Indian claim in the UN General Assembly that Occupied Kashmir is integral part of India. The resolution moved by Pakistan People’s Party leader Syed Naveed Qamar, in which he stated that Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in her speech in the UNGA ignored the fact that Occupied Kashmir is still on the agenda of UNSC and Indian-held Kashmir is universally accepted disputed territory. The resolution stated the Modi government has a history of threats with the misguided belief that Pakistan will move away from its support to Kashmiris. The resolution said the hostile environment being perpetuated by the present Indian government and creating war hysteria will not be in the best interest of peace and stability in the region. Previously, Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj staged a new drama in the United Nations by declaring Kashmir an integral part of India. In her speech in the UN on Monday, she said that they want to convey a message to Pakistan that it cannot separate any part of India. “Preconditions for dialogues are put by Pakistan, not India,” she said. But India cannot befool the world by shedding crocodile tears on one hand and committing atrocities in Occupied Kashmir on other hand. Does she think that the world is ignorant of the ongoing situation in Kashmir? India should hold a plebiscite in Occupied Kashmir to fulfill the long lasting demand of Kashmiris and implement the resolutions of the United Nations.
