ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Assembly session on Thursday witnessed rumpus as government and opposition members started grappling. Federal Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and PTI’s Shehryar Afridi started fighting when five opposition members requested Speaker Ayyaz Sadiq to submit a privilege motion against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi raised the issue of prime minister’s statement and Panama Leaks and raised slogans against the prime minister. The treasury members gave a befitting response to this and chanted slogans against Imran Khan and Jehangir Tareen. Consequently, the House turned into a fish market. Federal Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi moved towards the opposition benches when Murad Saeed, Shehryar Afridi and Jamshed Dasti blocked him and so the government members also came forward. The members of opposition and treasury benches started pushing each other and exchanged abusive and mocking words. The security officials came to control the situation while the speaker postponed the session for 15 minutes. Speaking outside Parliament after the scuffle, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the members of PMLN abused the opposition that does not represent their dignity. Qureshi said that our members were pushed while one minister of PMLN tried to attack us. The opposition parties have also announced to boycott the session.
