NA speaker accepts Shehbaz Sharif’s resignation as PAC chairman

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar has accepted Shehbaz Sharif’s resignation as chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). The National Assembly Secretariat has issued a notification in this regard. According to the notification, the resignation will be applicable from November 20, 2019. Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif was the PAC chairman, but the party decided to hand over the post to another member. The party wants to push active and vocal members to the front. Shehbaz Sharif is also a nominated suspect in the Ashiana Housing scandal and Ramazan Sugar mills cases. He is facing the corruption reference in the Lahore accountability court. Now, the opposition leader is present in the London for inquiring health of his granddaughter and his medical check-up.
