NA Standing Committee approves civil procedure amendment bill: Farogh

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Law and Justice Barrister Farogh Naseem said on Wednesday that the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee has approved the civil procedure amendment bill. While talking a joint press conference with Special Assistant to PM on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan and Parliamentary Secretary for Law Malika Bukhari, the law minister said that that the bill was supported by three members of the opposition.
Ministry of Law’s procedures now online
“Pakistan’s laws have now been uploaded on the official website of the law ministry and an application has also been prepared where 844 laws are uploaded,” he explained. “PM Imran Khan will soon launch the app,” he added. “Inheritance certificate, which was earlier obtained in five to six years, will be issued in just 15 days and the civil cases will be solved within one-and-a-half-year from now onwards,” he maintained. He also unveiled that the entire archives of law-related quandaries that took place in the country since its inception are now available online. “The ministry has penned 22 new laws, 7 have been approved and are being implemented, and the passing of 15 laws is pending as yet in the assembly which we are mulling to get approved.” Farogh Naseem lauded the role being played by the officials of the ministry of law. On the occasion, Firdous Ashiq Awan said the people had voted the PTI to power to break the status quo and bring change in their lives. She also said the law ministry introduced the law reforms in line with the requirements of the nation. Parliamentary Secretary for Law Malika Malika Ali Bukhari said the law ministry has also prepared a five year women protection plan to provide justice to women. She said this plan envisages fifty five steps for the welfare of the women folk. He said under this plan, a detailed asset and burn crime bill and Christian divorce bill will also be formulated.
